PlanTrace does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your blueprints, annotations, and measurements never leave your device.

Data Storage

All data created within PlanTrace — including annotations, measurements, punch items, calibration settings, and voice memos — is stored locally on your device. Annotation data is saved in sidecar files alongside your PDF documents in your local file system.

No Data Collection

PlanTrace does not:

Collect any personal information
Track your usage or behavior
Use analytics, cookies, or tracking technologies
Send any data to external servers
Require an account or login
Access the internet for any app functionality

Device Permissions

PlanTrace may request access to the following device capabilities, which are used solely for in-app features:

Microphone — to record voice memo annotations on your blueprints
Camera — to capture photos for insertion into your plans (iOS/iPad)
Photo Library — to insert existing images onto your blueprints
File System — to open, save, and export PDF documents

All data from these permissions stays on your device. No audio, images, or files are uploaded anywhere.

Third-Party Services

PlanTrace does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms.

Children's Privacy

PlanTrace is a professional construction tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from any user, including children.

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date.
